We might have a job for you as a Portuguese teacher.

One of our clients in Albany would like to have one-to-one GENERAL Portuguese classes.

This student wishes to have classes either at your office/home or in a public location in Albany, 12118. He would like to have a 32-hour course. Classes of two hours should be held any day of the week except Wednesdays (Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays or Fridays any time after 4 pm)or Saturdays and Sundays - any time, preferably the mornings, and he wishes to start asap.

Information about the student:

*Current language level: Elementary. Has been learning via: Babbel, speaking with his wife

*Motivation: His wife is Brazilian. He has been trying to learn Portuguese through Babbel, but he is having a hard time. His wife doesn't really know how to teach it. He took 5 years of Spanish in middle and high and is relying on that a lot to understand Portuguese. He would love to be able to communicate with his wife in her native language, and be able to speak to her family when they visit at the end of the year. Focus on Listening and speaking

Be a native Portuguese speaker of the language OR hold a teaching degree
Have experience as a language teacher, translator or interpreter
Have a valid working visa
Live up to 20 miles from the client´s location.

Location of the classes and schedule could be flexible based on your and the client’s availability. The hourly rate is negotiable depending on qualifications and experience. This is a freelance part-time position and we are not able to sponsor your visa.
