📍 Position Details

We are currently looking for a freelance Navajo language tutor for one of our clients in Canberra (AUS - AEST)

• Course Type: Online
• Format: one-to-one
• Total Hours: 10 (ten)
• Session length: one hour (sixty minutes)
• Location: by Zoom video-conference
• Student: 65 y/o gentleman
• Current language Level: Elementary
• Schedule: once per week, either on Sunday at 8 AM, Saturday at 8 AM or Wednesday at 12 noon (Australian Eastern Standard Time - flexible)
• Start Date: as soon as possible
• Student's Motivation: love of Native American cultures, interest in WWII code talkers; challenging my brain to learn new skills. I love the complexity and novel features of Diné Bizaad and want to extend my ability to learn.

🎯 Ideal Candidate

• Be a native Navajo speaker and/or hold a relevant teaching qualification
• Have experience as a language teacher, translator or interpreter
• Feel comfortable teaching online
• Have your own device and access to a quiet space and reliable, fast internet connection

💼 Conditions

• The schedule may be flexible based on availability
• Hourly rate is negotiable depending on experience and qualifications
• Freelance position, with part-time hours
